BE A PLAYER! Easter Basketball Camp

At York Eagles, we like to not only promote the York Eagles but basketball in general.  In this case, we can do both, since it is our York Eagles head coach, Dave Smith, who has been running these camps separately from all the magnificent work he does directly for the York Eagles.  Support Coach Dave by attending these camps and bring all those new basketball skills back to York Eagles after your Easter break is finished.

DEVELOPMENT CAMPS (using 25 years' experience)

For School Year 4 to Year 9/10 (ages 8 – 15 years) players and open to both

boys and girls. The Camps are open to beginners and more advanced players

At YORK COLLEGE YO23 2BB

Opposite Tesco at Askam Bar Park and Ride. Free parking at York College.

DATES

Half Term OCT/NOV 2024 Camp: Tues 29th to Thurs 31st OCT (3 days)

Half Term FEBRUARY 2025 Camp: Tues 18th to Thurs 20th FEB (3 days)

EASTER 2025 Camp: Tue 8th April to Thurs 10th APRIL (3 days)

Register each day from 9.15 am - Finish at 4 pm

WHAT TO BRING

Packed lunch and drinks bottle (water not fizzy drinks please)

Indoor Playing kit including white and coloured T shirt

Indoor playing shoes

Bag for personal items

Own basketball

(correct size for Yr6s and younger is size 5, Yrs7/8/9 size 6, Yrs10+ size 7)

A limited number of basketballs are available at the Camp.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Register from 9.15 finish at 4 pm.

Drop-offs from 8.30am and pick-ups up to 5 pm are possible on request.

Each day consists of stations (activities) to improve fundamentals,

small tournaments, games and daily awards.

The Camps through the daily activities encourage young people to

work hard, be good listeners and learners, have a growth mind set and how to be winners.

Our Camp Coaches are selected for their ability to work with young people.

Our coaching at the Camp is often enhanced by a visit from a

GUEST COACH who can inspire and add to the players motivation.
