Coach Steve Hardisty commented on the U14s II performance:

“Knowing what Doncaster are capable of, it was inevitable that the game would end in defeat, but it was for the boys to decide whether they would accept it and roll over or give it their all and take some form of victory from the game. I am really pleased we did the latter. Keeping them under 100pts and us scoring 44 which was more than the last 2 games and against average sides. Maks and Malachi showed energy throughout and took the fight to Doncaster.”

Coach Tyler Paton-Pottage Commented on the U14s Performance:

“A ruthless performance from the lads, as we gave opportunities to those that have had limited opportunities in recent games. Very good finishing as we were very efficient throughout (58% FG) and Hawks couldn’t match our Size, Speed, Heart and Hustle, we won most loose balls, and the guys are really starting to show signs of confidence in what we do when we step onto the court. 5 players in double figures for the 2nd game in a row! I couldn’t ask for more so far”.

U16 Jr NBL Northern Premier

Result: 49-86 (L)

Player of the game: Emilis Vildziunas (17pts/9rebs)

Coach Paul Pickering commented on the U16s Performance:

“A tough away trip to Manchester where we allowed them to dictate the tempo early. We struggled against the physical nature of the giants. They hit a number of 3s early and our shots didn’t fall. We dug in during the 2nd and pulled it back on a strong run, but then the Giants kicked on and eventually out-hustled us as we tried. Lots to work on this week, especially offence against the zone.”

Coach Abi Stewart commented on the U12s Girls performance:

“Great team performance from the girls today, fighting from start to finish. The defensive intensity was great forcing bad passes and stealing from the opposing team. Offensively some good passing and shooting really helped the girls keep the lead for the entirety of the game.”

Coach Reece Horton commented on the U16s performance:

“We are developing as a team but haven't yet put together a complete game. Need two or three to be scoring 15-20 in the same game. We need to cut out the turnovers as they led to easy points for LDM.”
